TAXATION

Our tax practice includes acting for clients in respect of real and property tax matters , sales and business tax. In addition we have experience in representing tax payers of all types at audits and disputes with the Revenue Services at both the administrative level and in the Courts.

 

IMMIGRATION

We acted for several foreign nationals -some from France, India , Israel , Pakistan, China , Taiwan , Phillipine and Dubai to either work, conduct own business or gain entry on investor or residency visas . Many have established successful businesses . We represented many foreign nationals on deportation matters , obtaining urgent interdicts against Home Affairs officals and inspectors.

 

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

We challenged the Provincial hospital which refused to render emergency medical treatment to a patient in need of dialysis . We took the Government of South Africa to the Highest Court of South Africa , for the first time a matter of socio-economic issue was heard by eleven judges . This matter received wide media coverage both in the print and technology media. This case , Soobramoney vs Minister of Health was reported twice in South African Law reports . The Constitutional Court Judge President gave the matter preference to be heard on an urgent basis - . sadly Soobramoney died a few days after the courts ruling .

 

TRADE MARK & PATENTS

We are not Patent and Trade Mark attorneys . We attend to the preparation and submission of trade mark and patent applications to agents for lodgment. Our recent patent application related to air pressure design and invention for cellulite removal and to re-contour the body .
